THE TRAIN OF THOUGHTS

You know that your emotions are a direct result of your thinking?

Yes?

Every anxious feeling we experience is a direct response to a thought we once had or have, and not a result of our outside world.

If you manage to create more awareness around your thought patterns, you’ll see that your emotions are always a direct result of your thinking.

Over time we become more aware of our anxious feelings. I had conditioned myself to a point where I kept checking in with my body constantly, almost looking for the feeling “Is it still there”. If you affirm the emotion (you are scared about the emotion you feel) over a long period of time, the emotion becomes a part of you, in a way, that you keep checking in with it when it’s not there. This isn’t necessarily a conscious thing we do, it’s just another habit we FIRST need to be aware of BEFORE it can be broken and replaced by better habits (different behavior)

Again, if you are AWARE of your thoughts, you can be more AWARE of your emotions too. This gives you control if you become really good at it and you have a choice to jump on to the TRAIN OF THOUGHT or let it pass you by.

Do you catch yourself jumping on every train of thought?

Now let’s say we jump on a train of thought, and, blindly BUY INTO what our mind produces: We’re now aboard of the train that already has a lot of momentum. The LONGER we keep riding that train of thought the more POWERFUL and unstoppable it becomes - and the more likely this train of thought has enough power to create OR reaffirm emotions alongside it.

The more clearly you see this happening, the easier it will be for you to stop needing to change the world around you to CHANGE THE WAY YOU FEEL. Does this make sense? Read again:

The more clearly you see this happening, the easier it will be for you to stop needing to change the world around you to CHANGE THE WAY YOU FEEL!!

The thoughts and movies we create in our head are internal representations of the outside world. If we give more power to the wrong thoughts, we’ll make our negative images of the world seem more realistic and scary.

If what we feel in our body is a result of our conditioned thinking, we need to shed more light on our thought patterns - agreed?

I’ll write more about this in the next couple of days and share a few things we can do to become more aware around those patterns..
